Claire Yuqi Chen, is the Director for Global Initiatives at the National Council of University Research Administrators (NCURA), where she served as the Horizon 2020 National Contact Point for Legal and Financial Affairs for the U.S. She specializes in technology and innovation policy, project management, creative workshop facilitation, and cross-cultural communications. In her current role, she supports the advancement of research administration and management globally to facilitate international scientific cooperation between the U.S. and other countries. She has participated in multiple Horizon 2020 funded projects, including the BILAT USA 4.0 and ENRICH in the USA. In the past, she has consulted and facilitated on projects with the Arab League, Eurasia Foundation, the Atlantic Council, and other programs in the Washington D.C. science & technology community. She received her master’s degree in International Communication from American University, her Bachelor’s degree in Culture Studies from Humboldt State University, and a second Bachelor’s degree in English from Xi’an International Studies University in China.

Odette Paramor
Head of School of Geographical Sciences
Dr Odette Paramor is Head of School of Geographical Sciences at the University of Nottingham Ningbo China. She has worked in China almost continuously since 2009 and has been involved with several EU-China projects supporting research and innovation (DragonSTAR, DragonSTAR Plus, URBAN-EU-CHINA and ENRICH in China).
Prior to moving in China, Odette was based in the UK where she coordinated several EU-funded research projects to support the development of ecosystem approaches to management in marine systems. Whilst most of her research has focused on fisheries management, her other research interests include anti-fouling technologies, wetland habitat restoration, coastal defence and developing methodologies to assess ecosystem functioning.
